This is an animation of a character walking by in the graphic space of one of those early 480x80 web ad banner sizes. The image of the roman warrior was a fully animated walking character that was earmarked for an Amiga game. Unfortunately, the money man pulled out of the project when Doom was released for the PC and I was left with lots of disks of animated characters I couldn't do anything with. So I made an animated banner in college.
